Founded in 2008, Clean Health Group (CHG) is a trusted source of fitness education for personal trainers and nutritionists. Our brands have educated over 350,000 fitness professionals worldwide.
Originally founded as a personal training organisation that focused on its three core principles of lifestyle, nutrition and training, over the years, we pivoted from in-person live events and, in 2020, to a 100% remote working, online Fitness Education (EduTech) business.
In 2023, Clean Health evolved into the Clean Health Group with its first foray into M&A, acquiring Vast Fitness Academy, which has since followed the acquisitions of the Australian Institute of Fitness and the Nutritional Coaching Institute in the United States. Clean Health Group has ongoing partnerships with industry titans, including James Smith, Layne Norton, PhD, Sebastian Oreb, Hattie Boydle and more. It has also been featured in numerous media and TV publications, including The Sydney Morning Herald, GQ, Men’s Fitness, Australian Women’s Health and Fitness, and more.
CHG is not just a platform for real-world education and accreditations. We’re here to continue creating a community of fitness professionals who are set on improving the industry standard. Our intent is to help one million fitness professionals worldwide by 2026, setting the industry on a full reset towards knowledge, development, and practicality.
Our Journey
Founded by Group Chairman Daine McDonald, Clean Health began as a Personal Training business focused on high-quality client results through the balance of science, lifestyle, nutrition, and strength training.
After opening our first performance based gym, client results, community focus and a keen eye for detail allowed us to grow to three gyms by 2015.
After close to 300,000 sessions, Clean Health’s gyms closed for good. This spurred the company’s shift to becoming a premier Australian Government Accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and continued education provider for established personal trainers and nutritionists.
The acquisition of Australian education company VAST Fitness Academy turned Clean Health into the Clean Health Group, setting in stone a direction toward creating sustained change in the fitness industry – by the trainers, for the trainers.
The Australian Institute of Fitness and Nutritional Coaching Institute have also since become a part of the Clean Health Group, propelling the industry toward an exciting future.
Partnerships with industry leaders like Dr Bill Campbell and Dr Layne Norton, through ventures such as the PCA aim to further this laser focus on creating change.
